Methods that focus on the self-healing capacity of people as cognitive behavioural therapy have my preference. Effective psychotherapies are combined with non-conventional methods as EMDR, which have proved their effectiveness.
An example of such a method is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR can help a patient to come to terms with traumatic experiences and their mental aftermath. This method is also very effective in treating phobias, depressions etc.
